MST expresses support of opposition parties request for impeachment

Thursday, May 21, 2020 (all day)

The request was filed on Thursday by progressive parties and strengthens the campaign "Fora Bolsonaro"

The movement was present in the #EleNao acts in 2018.

MST supports the initiative of the political parties that filed an impeachment request of President Jair Bolsonaro, this Thursday (5/21), for committing crimes against the free exercise of political, individual and social rights and against the constitutional mandate of impersonality in the exercise of public administration.

The request presented by PT, PSOL, PCdoB, PCO, PCB, UP and PSTU, as well as the one made by PSB, PDT, and Rede, demonstrates the responsibility of the progressive sectors in the institutional field with the Brazilian people in the struggle for the removal of the president in face of the new coronavirus pandemic and the Brazilian economic crisis.

The initiative of the progressive parties strengthens the “Fora Bolsonaro” campaign, which needs to set in motion the working class, middle sectors, and public figures committed to democracy, as well as established entities in the areas of law, culture, science, and inter-religiousness.

Its beginning to be understood that only with the departure of Jair Bolsonaro will it be possible to save lives and guarantee conditions for the population to overcome the pandemic and face the economic, political, and social crisis that is currently present in the country.

The MST expresses its commitment to the “Fora Bolsonaro” campaign and to the efforts of popular forces in the struggle for the removal of the current president. Only with the construction of a great movement will the institutions fulfill their role in demanding respect for the Constitution and removing the president from office.

To save lives, fora Bolsonaro!
