Brazil’s right wing finally achieved what it couldn’t win for years at the ballot box, ending 13 years of left-wing governance.
The fate of Brazilian democracy was decided Wednesday as the country’s Senate voted 61 to 20 to impeach suspended President Dilma Rousseff after a trial that many international critics have described as a farce and a parliamentary coup.

Currently, this State is known for the increase in repression to popular movements. There are already three political prisoners, and two of them are MST members.

Movement that were organized in the camp Don Tomás Baudino in the Quedas do Iguaçu municipality, central region of the state of Paraná, were victims of an ambush by the military police and private security forces of the logging company Araupel.

The court sentence, given by Judge Pedro Ivo Moreiro, of the 1st Civil Court of Cascavel, was 
published in the Paraná State Official Gazette this Tuesday (November 17, 2015). The sentence rules that the company shall pay compensation to Keno’s family and to Isabel for the moral and material damage it caused.

Within the town is a property which challenges the commercialization of collective achievement, and stands as a beacon of hope for one of the country's biggest social problems: a lack of housing.
